Overview
Vincent Willem van Gogh needs little introduction; the Dutch post-Impressionist revolutionised the art world with his bold and dramatic works which inspired Fauvism and Expressionism.
Join Lydia Bauman, a lecturer and guide at The National Gallery in London, for her inaugural lecture with Academy Travel which provides a unique, behind the scenes look at The National Gallery's outstanding exhibition of sixty incredible works from the last two years of Van Gogh’s life (some of which have never been publicly exhibited). Particular attention is paid to the recurring motifs in Van Gogh’s work, which bear witness to his changing state of mind and revolutionary artistic development.
